Formed in 1877 as a Methodist congregation, the main sanctuary of The 1808 was built in 1902 to accommodate a growing membership. Renovation and restoration of the facilities began in 2016 and were completed in 2020.

Christened after the highest elevation in Metro Atlanta, Kennesaw Mountain, The 1808 is the only federally registered historic building in Downtown Kennesaw. The 1808 is Kennesaw’s premier venue for weddings, concerts, corporate events, and other celebrations.
